Siemens Gamesa dismissed the workers at the Aoiz plant at the end of August and offered them a relocation plan within 12 months, so that they can receive training and guidance.

The relocation company, in charge of managing the plan, is committed to relocating 100% of the staff involved in it. Such a plan shall include training and career guidance measures, personalised care for the worker concerned and active job search. Gamesa has offered a 12-month plan (15 months for workers over 50).

"This plant may have an opportunity in the future, we are working with our technology centre and other suppliers," said Nauen at a telematics press conference on the occasion of the end of the year 2020.La company has lost EUR 918 million, according to the Basque Department of Security. The goal is to create a future "for the places we are in," he said. Or we do it alone, or with the regional government or with other partners,” he added.
