In Irun, on 16 February, AEK meets to claim the need to guarantee the right to learn Basque to citizens who are in an irregular administrative situation. In collaboration with the Host Network, they have launched the Languages Without Borders initiative.

In the words of the organizers, the goal is “that people in an irregular administrative situation, wherever they are, reclaim the right to learn indigenous languages and give visibility to their situation”.

Aize Otaño, member of the Governing Council of AEK, pointed out that "no one is illegal, all rights, the same rights, are for all". says that "all citizens must be guaranteed the right to know their own language, and the public authorities must ensure that right, offering free knowledge to citizens".
