At least 41 women have died as a result of a clash that took place on 20 June inside a female prison in the city of Tamara. Police sources say that the killings are due to competition between groups of prisoners.
Democracy Now is a means of communication that gathers the demands of the relatives of the victims: "We want to know who is alive, they are human beings. We want to see them and know how they are. As all the controls are quiet, should we be quiet? No, we want answers.”
Repeated complaint
Women complain several times about prison treatment. Also on the situation and hostility. But the authorities ignore them.
