The husband has attacked the woman with a white gun and his wife has been seriously injured in the chest. The man was taken to the hospital in Txagorritxu, where he was admitted. The aggression has taken place in a building in the neighborhood and after receiving the warning, emergency services, Ertzaintza and Municipal Police have been displaced to the area.

The Mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz calls for the root cutting of male violence

The mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Maider Etxeberria, spoke at a press conference following the meeting of the Municipal Government Board. As stated by the Naiz media, the mayor has called “to root out male violence, to raise awareness of society and to deal with it”. According to Etxeberria, the woman had "very serious" injuries and was taken to the hospital. The mayor says: “We are appalled and it is unacceptable that women remain an objective for some men.” The City Council wanted to show its support for the victim and her relatives in the face of sexual assault.
