A decade ago, Adif (Railway Infrastructure Manager) started land expropriation works in the Duranguesado to enable the construction of the TAV. This week, in the midst of the state of alarm, the works of the macro-project have demolished two buildings that were on the expropriated grounds: House of the teachers of Atxondo and Mendilibar-erdikoa of Abadiño.

The house of the teachers of Atxondo, shot down last Tuesday, plans to carry out a 1.6 kilometer viaduct in the area where it is located.

Several activists laid brick on the teachers' house on 28 February, in protest against the installation of a "red carpet" by the City Hall of Atxondo. "If it is not for the people, that it is not for those who come with the intention of destroying the people," they read.

The action was collected in the video:

Work has begun on Thursday to bring down the Mendilibar-erdikoa village in Abadiño (Bizkaia). As reported to Anboto Arteaga the one born there, allegations were made at the time. However, the farmhouse had been empty for a few months.

Mendilibar, in the process of collapse, has a historical heritage. According to Arteaga, the farmhouse is 500 years old, according to a study carried out by a company in the capital of Alavesa. “People may think this is like changing the floor. But that’s not the case for me,” said Anboto’s journalist Ekaitz Herrera.
