50 groups will meet in Donostia to celebrate the Basque Country Herriko Dantzari Eguna
  • On 7 October, the Basque Country Herriko Dantzari Eguna will be held in Donostia, which organises the first Saturday of October the Basque Country Dantzarien Biltzarra. 50 dance groups will participate and pay tribute to two Donostiarras: Juanma Oronoz, master of the dances of Gipuzkoa, designed the EDB logo.

This year’s edition coincided with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Goizaldi dance group of Donostia. Thus, in addition to the meetings and parties of the dantzaris on Saturday, various activities have been organized during the week. Today, Monday, October 2, Angel Murua and Mikel Sarriegi will offer the conference "Gipuzkoa Dance Masters" and on Thursday, October 5, the presentation of the documentary "Goizaldi 75th anniversary". In addition, the exhibition "75th anniversary of the Dantzari Goizaldi group" at the Okendo Cultural Center is open from 8 September to 11 October.

Monday, 2 October

  • 19:00 Conference "Gipuzkoa Dance Masters". Place: Crypt of San Jerónimo Street. Rapporteurs: Angel Murua and Mikel Sarriegi. Language: Spanish / Basque.

5 October, Thursday

  • 18:00 Presentation of the documentary "Goizaldi 75th anniversary". Place: Okendo Cultural Center.

7 October, Saturday, Euskal Herriko Dantzari Eguna

  • 11:30-18:00 Folklore Fair on Boulevard.

  • 12:00 Plaza de Danza in charge of the dance group Herridantza de Donostia in the kiosk of the Boulevard.

  • 17:30 Parade through the streets of the Old Party.

  • 18:00 Action of the groups of Euskal Herriko Dantza in Plaza Zuloaga.

  • 20:00-21:00 Street animation

  • 21:00 Dinner at the Plaza de la Trinidad. In case of rain at ikastola Orixe.

  • 22:00-1:00 Pilgrimage by the Iratzar group on the Boulevard's kiosk.

Exposure: Exhibition "75th anniversary of the Dantzari Goizaldi group" from September 8 to October 11 at the Okendo Cultural Center. Schedule: Monday to Friday: from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:30. Saturday and bridges: from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:30 to 20:00.
