The signatories to the Lurkide Convention denounce that the towers do not respond to the needs of the citizens but to the "speculative interests of the vulture funds". They add that they are "serious threats" to the environment and wildlife. They say that the project is a "nonsense that cannot be assumed" because after getting the line in Itxaso-Castejón to stay twice thanks to a ten-year struggle, Forestalia's projects in Kyoto and UME were now joined.
192 associations commit themselves to promoting the necessary land defence initiatives. Thus, on 29 May, divided into groups, concentrations will be held in the places where the towers are to be built to meet at noon in Etxarri Aranatz. At the end of the central event there will be a popular meal.
