The City Hall denies 3 year old students permission to eat at the ikastola of Beskoitz, alleging lack of space
  • The college has long complained that the ikastola de Beskoitz has been small, but that the expansion of the centre is hampered by the Casa Consistorial. In the midst of this conflict, the City Hall has decided that the 3-year-old cannot eat at the cantina of the ikastola. A protest has been called for this Tuesday.

“For years the Casa Consistorial has been hampering the development of the ikastola,” the center said, adding that Seaska has thrown all the proposals it has put on the table. The final confrontation of this atmosphere of tension has been around the right to food. According to Kazeta.eus, for this course Seaska recorded 54 children for the song, anticipating that in January one more student could be added. This has finally been the case, but Fabienne Ayensa has responded that there is no room for that 55 child, and has proposed that the 3-year-old should eat with the children of public school. That is, with other children and caregivers they don't know and an hour later than their peers.

Parents complain that the decision was not pragmatic but political.

According to the ikastola de Beskoitz Kazeta.eus, a week ago three elects approached the canteen to tell the children, ask questions and check if there was that 3-year-old.

This Tuesday afternoon, at 18:00, a rally was called in Beskoitz Square to “denounce the forms and methods used by the Consistorial House”.
