Representatives of various bodies actively involved in the campaign offered a press conference this Tuesday in Brussels. The co-president of the European organisation of Kurdish associations KCDK-E underlines that the signatories have sent an important signal with their signatures. In particular, in view of the "massacre policy" used by the Turkish State in Kurdistan, the ANF news agency has reported that it is important that so many people demand the withdrawal of the CPC from the EU terrorist list.

“The classification of the Kurdish Workers’ Party as a terrorist organisation serves as a justification for attacking the Kurds. Because this list serves Turkey as a guarantee of genocidal measures against our country. This is the precondition that will work for democracy and stability, not only in Turkey, but throughout the Middle East. The solution of the Kurdish conflict guarantees the existence and the stimulating future of our people."

The President of the European Left, Walter Baier, has shown his total solidarity with the Kurdish people, supporting the fight for self-determination and the objectives of the Kurdish justice campaign. "The reason for getting the CPC out of the EU terrorist list is quite simple: the CPC is not a terrorist organisation, it is part of the Kurdish people," Iker said. Brabander's Ludo shows his agreement that it is time to re-evaluate the PCC on that list. He adds that the pacifist entity Vrede is behind this request.

After speeches, a delegation signs to the European Commission. The Commission is responsible for drafting proposals for new European legislation and for implementing the decisions of the European Parliament and the EU Council.
