The court has applied the aggravating of "kinship and gender ratio" and the attenuating of "confession of infringement" and has imposed on Messinezis the "deprivation of parental authority". In addition, compensation of EUR 86,750 has been imposed for psychological injuries, sequelae and moral damage suffered in the family environment.

The prosecutor was calling for 30 years in jail.

Court rejects the attenuant of "confusion"

The court has denied that Messinezis's defense has applied as attenuating or exempting the "transient mental disorder" alleged in the trial and has found, in this sense, that "none of the tests performed reveals, not even indirectly, any mental alteration or abnormality whatsoever".
