Khalil Awawawdeh, a 41-year-old Palestinian militant, was imprisoned by Israel in December 2021 in the exercise of administrative detention.

In other words, the Israeli Public Prosecutor ' s Office has not filed any charges against her and has not set a date to judge her since she was arrested. After giving up eating for more than six months and having very poor health, his lawyer announced on Wednesday that they have reached an agreement with the Israeli authorities to release Awdeh in October.

Awawdeh is one of the Palestinian detainees who have carried out long hunger strikes in recent years to denounce administrative detention. According to the administrative arrests, Israel can dare anyone without revealing "evidence", without the detainees being charged with accusations against them and without being able to defend themselves before the courts. Many Palestinians detained under this regime have spent years in prison.

According to data from the Palestinian group for the rights of political prisoners Addameer, the Israeli Government is in administrative detention of 670 Palestinians.
