Although the employer CEOE has been invited, she did not attend the meeting because she is "far from the mentality" with the increase of the interprofessional minimum wage in Spain, and on the last day of January, without them, Yolanda Díaz, second vice-president of the Spanish Government and Minister of Labor, has met with CCOO and UGT.

Based on the report prepared by experts contracted by the Government of Spain. According to them, it would be "sustainable and viable" to raise between 4.6% and 8.2%, even though the majority of trade unions demanded an increase of EUR 100, from EUR 1,000 to EUR 1,100. Finally, President Pedro Sánchez announced in the Senate that the agreement was signed by Díaz, CCOO and UGT in 1.080 euros.
